Chai Ka Masala by Kanan Saraswat
Kanan's family recipe hails from Meerut but has been re-invented along the years as she has traveled around the length & breadth of India. A perfect balance of spices hand pounded at her home in Gwalior which is bound to give you that little extra zing. A shortcut for you to make a truly Indian Masala Chai.
Key Ingredients include - Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Dry Ginger, Mace & Star Flower.
Recipe - Add a quarter tsp of the Masala in two cups of water and bring to a boil. Proceed to add tea leaves & jaggery. For an extra zing, add lemon grass, fresh ginger & mint leaves while boiling.
